The Auction house Artcurial-Briest-Poulain-F.Tajan assisted by the Art Expert Nadine Nieszawer , is pleased to present an important new auction with 180 artworks including tow major private collections from Paris, Fribourg.
The School of Paris is an expression created in 1925 by the art critic André Warnod in the art newspaper "Comoedia" to define a group of artists from abroad living in Paris. Close to Marc Chagall and Chaim Soutine at “La Ruche”, they all took part in the intellectual emancipation of a new generation of painters.
Our sale offers to rediscover the Parisian artistic effervescence of those years and the work of these painters with different destinies. The estimates run from 300€ to 100 000€.
